While the majority of COVID-19 victims continue to be the elderly and infirm, nearly 100,000 children came down with the coronavirus in the last two weeks of July, according to an analysis by American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association. It revealed a 40 percent increase in COVID-19 cases in children between July 16 and July 30. In total, the report said 338,982 children have been sickened with the virus in the U.S., and half of the U.S. states reported more than 5,000 confirmed cases in children.

Using the number of total cases is frightening until you do the math and see that the cases on children equate to .068% of total cases.

1834 new cases and 46,006 tests for Thursday. Positivity rate for last 7 days is 4.0%. I hope the positivity rate continues to drop. The CDC is saying that this fall might be worse than any month so far. Hopefully they are wrong.

once again i'm predicting more bad news for cass county. i know of 3 bars having bands this friday, plus 2 on saturday. also on saturday a bar in chandlerville- one of the hot spot towns- is having 3 bands from 2pm to midnight.

the majority of cases recently have been in their 20's and 30's age range.

did all that last year. 186 purchased canvas for 78k. i had 4 hours of bs training-i'm a hands on learner-watching someone showing me all this stuff on our wonderful new tool was a waste of time. i did get paid $30/hour though.

2264 new cases and a whopping 49,541 tests for Friday. The positivity rate has bumped back to 4.1%. Fourteen counties are now at the warning level including Cass. 53 new cases in Sangamon today, our highest since this Pandemic started.
