This is just a guess on my part.

If it took four or five days to hear your test results then it seems logical that you would subtract those days from the quarantine?

If I was positive when tested on the 1st, found out about the positive on the 5th and then quarantined until the 15th that would be 14 days after my test of positive.

After you test positive, if you are showing symptoms, you can renter society after 3 days of no fever and other symptoms. This was what my step dad and sister had to do after a positive test, both had symptoms for about 5 days total. I would assume if you don't have any symptoms you have to wait 14 days before you reenter society.

However, it it taking fr 5-10 days to get test results because of the amount of testing that is being done and once you get your results you may already be over the sickness

The release of information is the responsibility of the local health departments and I would think the CDC and Trump would have much to do with that information. Piatt county did not release much of the detailed information early on due to the limited number infections and could hurt the individuals privacy.

1173 new cases, 6 deaths and 34,598 tests for today. The Governor said today that he's frustrated that the positivity rate and hospitalizations are staying level instead of decreasing. He's right in that we've been hanging around 3% for a couple weeks now. My thinking is that if we aren't trending down they will nix football. We're running out of time.

I don't know why they are frustrated with our numbers being steady, look what is happening in other areas of the country.

Without herd immunity numbers will continue to be where they are at, this is the new normal! It is a disease like the flu, cold, strep throat, it is not ever going to be 0 and the mindset behind this disease will need to change.

Just another "move the goal posts" statement by our Gov to try and paint the current situation as worse than it really is. Every week it is something else or new "could happen" situation but not much being said on the improved treatment which has cut down on the # of deaths or the issues with reporting positive and negative tests. For example, my cousin in Florida missed her schedules appointment for a test, was called the next day saying she was positive without having a test administered. Called today, was referred to local health dept, they said because she was contacted by a tracer and had contact with someone who was positive so they were inputting her has positive. This is just wrong in my opinion.

If I were JB, I'd be more concerned about the upcoming tax and Madigan investigations along with the 70 people shot and 10 killed on Chicago this weekend rather than our 3% positivity rate.

955 new cases for today, 29,745 tests and 23 deaths. Positivity rate for 7/14-7/20 is 3.1%. That's still good but we have gone up just a bit since moving to phase 4 on 6/26. I think the best we can hope for now is the start of football being pushed back.

1598 new cases today and 39,623 tests. Positivity rate for 7/15-7/21 is 3.2%.

i didn't hear it, but the wife listened to j.b. flinstone today and she said fatty is close to shutting down the metro east zone. st. claire county will love hearing that.

If they hit 8% positivity 3 days in a row those are the parameters they set for a rollback. They are really close to that. Agree that it won't go over well.

Sweden's death chart however indicates no 2nd peak...

Sweden, with 10 million people has 5420 Covid19 deaths. Illinois with 12.6 million people has 7560 Covid19 deaths.
