Renteria was ejected and it was not his call to put Ruiz in. Post game interview they said they went with Ruiz because Colome experienced back spasms even though he only needed 6 pitches to retire the inning. They then wanted a fireballer. Worked out poorly.

IMO roberts should have caught the Lindor double and it wouldnt have been an issue. For as good as he is in the field he can not time a ball at the wall to save his life. He has had 3-4 chances to rob a homer or  make a great play at the wall and has missed everyone of them.

Also this crochet guy appears to have been an awesome draft pick. I am not sure he is a long term SP but he has late inning all over him. Consistently his triple digits on the radar gun.

The Cubs are coming to see the SOX averaging about 4.25 hits per game over the last week.

When I think they have hit rock bottom, they get out the jackhammer and dynamite.

Cubs got all those dingers Abrieu hit against them back in 1 game.

I've never been less optimistic about a Sox playoff team than I am this going into the postseason. 2008 being a close 2nd.

Starting to understand why the Cubs moved away from Renteria.

Cubs averaging 1 run per inning versus Sox over past 25 innings.

At least they don't have to go to Oakland to play the A's. That would be 2 and done.

Maybe playing some new teams will be good for the Sox. Im not counting them out just yet.

Hopefully dont jinx them but good start in Oakland up 3-0 through 5 Innings and Giolito is Perfect 15 up and 15 sat down.
