Thank goodness I got my weed and feed for the lawn yesterday morning. A little late, but the snow this morning will help it soak in I'm sure.

In northern Illinois we had snow yesterday and possibly tonight. Most of us haven’t even worried about mowing or weed and feed until that weather goes through and it warms up. I’m sure a lot of people haven’t even bought yet up here.

Except for the old men...they are on their 5th mowing by now.

I've mowed once. It was your basic first mowing. Part of the yard was 6 inches high, but most of it you couldn't see where you'd been. It has pushed up considerably since.

We're supposed to get a slow, steady rain tonight. Hopefully that will help it soak in.

You misinterpreted.

I don't wish that Trump gets the virus.  However, IF he got it, then perhaps that might not be such a bad thing because it might dampen his rush to reopen the country before the systems are in place and before the number of hospitalizations are well below their peak.  Might make him a little more inclined to keep people healthy.  

Most new confirmed virus cases in one day reported here in Illinois.  This is far from being over.

And yet, outside one senior living home, almost nothing in our county. I guess we'll plunge our residents further into poverty for Chicagoland.

Is that over the top? A little, but at some point people are really going to chafe against these restrictions when it's negatively impacting their well being with no real risk to their daily life.

These things are always a set up to get the footage you want, but it's pretty disturbing that they found this handful of people so adamant about it-

I did not see any rioting in the states you mentioned though I did see protesting. I don't think Trump should have been encouraging it though. You had crowds of people together without masks during a time when a lot of people are getting infected. April will likely be the worst month of this and those folks should have been at home practicing social distancing. If we get into Summer and the casualties are only about 20% of what they are now but we are still under a stay at home order then I could understand the protests. We still don't know for sure when this will end but I think we will be through the worst of this in another 4 weeks. As I said before the fact that this is an election year is the undercurrent in the behavior being displayed by some Democrats and Republicans.

We have a senior in our house. Our hearts are broken from yesterday’s news. He is the Senior class president, captain of the baseball team and was throwing in track this spring as well. I think he’d pay a good amount of money to walk in that building one more time as a student. Trying to remember the great moments he’s had on the football field and walking our halls every day, but man it’s tough. Regardless of your politics, which many of us have valid views and yet different views, this goes deeper than just who’s right or wrong. There are so many kids and families like ours all over the country that are affected by this horrible situation.

Rioting was an overstatement. But those Governors are trying to enforce the distancing standards that the federal government recommended. Why encourage protests against those Governors and only against the democratic Governors in toss up States?

Why play politics from the bathroom of the Oval Office?
