SHG v Metamora 3A Title Game

It 6:30, Jan 16 at UIS, I believe it is just a neutral site game. That should be a good one.

Deja Vu or Catholic Karma?
Another SHG game approaching and Metamora has had another sprinkler malfunction.  This time it was in the foyer outside the 'Birds gym.  Foyer, concessions and part of the gym were flooded Xmas eve.  No word yet on the amount of damage.

Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis)
Metamora (rematch of the 3A State Championship 2022)
Eisenhower
Miami Norland
Miami Columbus
Springfield (City Tourney)
Southeast  (City Tourney)
Lanphier   (City Tourney)

Yesterday, Columbus defeated Maxpreps #4 Camden by 9 pts. Last week, Columbus lost on a neutral court to Maxpreps #1 John Marshall by 3 pts. Columbus is currently ranked #11 in the nation by Maxpreps, but that was before they beat Camden and after their loss to John Marshall. Columbus is an all boys Catholic school run by the same order of Catholic brothers that run Marist in Chicago.

Metamora defeated SHG 60-50 tonight. Meta was the better team tonight start to finish. They were very good in every phase. SHG struggled with their shooting tonight and they weren’t getting many offensive boards either. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a rematch down the road. SHG wasn’t on their A game tonight but make no mistake, Metamora was very impressive tonight.

I agree. Metamora was way better. That long haired kid is a great player.

Them punkin chuckin Birds really are on a tremendous run! Congrats to Metamora and whomever made the call to hire Danny Grieves
