I don't know him, but he did a nice job at Solario. They gave Phillips a heck of a game this past season.
Their QB was pretty good wasnt he? Virgina Tech recruit maybe

That could be - I am not sure. Unlike Phillips, the news was not chasing them around all season.

Awaiting official word but sounds like Morrison going with Ryan Oetting who was an assistant on staff.

Any insight there?
They have great athletes all the time but for whatever reason can't ever field decent high school teams.

Oakwood to be filled very soon. Next board meeting on Wed is the story I heard. Good hire. Good Guy. Best of luck to him except week 6.

Marshall should have hire soon. They did offer but wasn't accepted. Look for internal candidate to get it.

I don't understand applying and interviewing for a job, especially at this time of year, if you don't have intentions of taking the job.Bighitter11 wrote:Marshall should have hire soon. They did offer but wasn't accepted. Look for internal candidate to get it.

Maybe he didnt't like the situation once he talked to the administrators involved in the interview process.

I can't blame anyone for not wanting to work for their superintendent.mc140 wrote:Head Idiot wrote:I don't understand applying and interviewing for a job, especially at this time of year, if you don't have intentions of taking the job.Bighitter11 wrote:Marshall should have hire soon. On a less catty note, I don't know that I've ever left a place with much of an impression either way after a 30-60 min interview. I think you should probably poke around before then to get a good view of a place.

It has not happened to me, but I have heard several folks comment that they knew they would not take a job after the interview. Sometimes the chemistry is not there. Sometimes folks get a bad/uneasy feeling about the situation. Sometimes the very mechanics of the interview will scare people off.
To use you for an example - what if you came in for an interview for HFC and the principal said something like - "Map out how you would use the spread offense to get the ball in the hands of our play makers on offense. We have been banging our head against the wall with a run-based offense for too long." BTW, according to a friend of mine this was an actual interview question he faced. I think the "mechanics" of that interview might very well scare you off.

Good for Coach Boyll. Marshall has a strong football history and has had success promoting from within to fill their HFC position.

I've never interviewed with a principal so far for a HC job that knows the difference between any of that.OldTitan wrote:

I also think that person probably wouldn't have called me in to interview if they knew that much about the game or me. In that instance I can see what you're talking about. I would also add that I've only interviewed for 2 jobs that I had a job for the next year- Sullivan and Clinton alt ed, so that might change my perspective on it.

Wow! Did not see that coming.
Nat has not been convicted, and to be clear, for most PDs if they are called in on a domestic and there is ANY allegation of physical touch - somebody is going to jail.
His wife asked for an order of protection in 2016, which was denied. I am not privy to those proceedings, but in my experience an Order of Protection is fairly easy to obtain. Typically when they are denied, the petitioner has asked for it to be or is a no show at proceedings. Again, I have no direct knowledge of what happened in 2016 with the Zunkel's.
Looks like Nat filed for an OP against his wife in 2014.

I don't really want to get into sordid details, but why stay together over apparently 4 years of martial discord?

And why resign both coaching and teaching gigs? I understand that it is an unpleasant situation but, at the end of the day, there are still bills to pay and mouths to feed. If someone resigns from a job, they are not eligible for unemployment, correct?

May have been told if he resigns they would not contest unemployment benefits.

I think what they're saying is that if you resign, you can't file for unemployment.mc140 wrote:OldTitan wrote:yep19delta wrote:Head Idiot wrote:I don't really want to get into sordid details, but why stay together over apparently 4 years of martial discord?
