Jim Morrow, long-time Harlem (Machesney Park) HFC, has stepped down, per Twitter.

Tim Kane stepped down at Plainfield North.  Reported here

Prairie Central is open as Coach Brandenburg is retiring.

I have also heard there will be an opening in the CIC, but nothing official yet, so I'll just be a tease for now.

I was really sad to see this, OT. I appreciate everything you've done at M-S and for HS football in central IL, and the state. Best of luck, and congrats on a great career at M-S. There aren't many better men in the profession.

Again, a booster told me he thought the goal was to kill the program when they RIFed me. I thought he was insane. I'm not so sure anymore.

We played them week one and they had a lot of Sr's if I remember. But next year?? They had 8 JR and 4 Soph. That' tough to play with in that conference going forward.

They made a run at him a couple years ago. Quite a few alumni thought this was going to happen.

The thing I can't figure out as to what happened there was we had 40 kids my year there.  29 were freshmen or sophomores. We graduated 6.  They had 5 Jrs, going tok be Srs coming back from our team.  This year they had 28 total from what I read and at least 5 of those were kids we had talked into playing. We had 58-65 "signed" up to play.  I have no idea what happened to their numbers.

I think all the admins that hired him are long gone.  The guy they hired as AD is a no nonsense kinda guy.  Used to be DC at LSA for Bundy and knows what he's doing.  Interested to see if Brit Miller is a candidate.

EDIT- Nevermind. Their current AD is the guy who hired Graham. Must not have been a lot of applications.
