Nice to have coach53 as a conference/district rival now!! We plan on keeping the County Seat, however...

One of the most bizarre coaching searches ever.

Did I miss a Lanphier announcement or did they not make it yet? Still follow the CS8 from my Jacksonville days but in general that's been an interesting coaching search to say the least!

Coach Johnson has an interesting background for a HS football coach. I would expect him to be more than capable.

Re: 2016-17 Head Football Coaching Openings
I worked with coach Johnson and found him to be a great guy.
He won't like the bs we hs coaches have to deal with and that might be a shocker to him. From what I heard there was plenty of it at UH leading to the coaching change.
I also recall he worked at Cat in East Peoria so he won't be in the building. That's new for UH.
I'm sure he will be fine... except when he meets NET and The Leonard's in His new conference!

I don't know Coach Johnson. I do know the key issue at U-High is numbers.

Yea, they had something like 11 freshman last year. I assume that is very low for the CS8. Heck that's low for any conference.
I hope I was not to down on UH, I don't know the facts first hand. I only heard they had lots of parent/admin issues from some former assistants. And I don't know what they meant by "issues".
Some issues really upset me and others are laughable. I think it depends on the coaches personality whether they are considered "issues". For instance, I dislike parents complaining over my head but could care less if we have a home field or if they dislike our scheme.

Rumor is he has landed at Stockton. I have no personal knowledge of the situation though.

i know nothing other than my own speculation. i wouldn't be surprised if there were 'co-coaches' being announced.
