Re: fat man challenge
I only made it to 264 for my final weigh-in of that contest last Friday...and I've sort of relaxed in the days since then. I would definitely be above that now, but haven't weighed in since.

Re: fat man challenge
260 after my run this morning. Ate REALLY terrible this weekend and want to get back after it. Weights still going up and finally got a decent squat day in yesterday with some real improvement.
Squat- 430 for 5
Incline- 275 for 5
Bench- 340 for 5
DL- 465 for 5
Front Squat- 330 for 5
Thinking if I could get to weighing 257/8ish out of bed every morning, I'd be good with it.

Re: fat man challenge
257 Saturday morning at 4:45 after my 3:30 am run so I could go watch my wife run the Half at the Illinois Marathon. She finished in 2:09. Had 20k steps by 10am. Ended with 27k.
I don't know why, but the mental difference that 250s makes over seeing a 26number is ridiculous. It's only 3 pounds, but I just feel so much better. Lifts pretty static this past week.

Re: fat man challenge
I'm at 270 now. A two-week "relaxation period" after the weightloss contest basically turned into the whole month of April. I still worked out pretty diligently, but my eating habits were crap. So far, a very good start to this month and even 270 is 65 pounds below my high so no complaints.

Re: fat man challenge
Been hovering around 190 for a month or so.... running sporadically, eating pretty well. No canned or bottled beer (New Years rez) has helped.

Re: fat man challenge
267 this morning. I started a new workout program this week to shake things up. It's killing me because it is very heavy on squats and lunges...two workouts I honestly hadn't done in years. I wish I had done a body fat test a few years ago, though, because I know my 260something feels and looks a lot better than my 260something did the last time I was this light simply because of the weightroom work I've been doing.

264 before run, 261 after. Last month of school was not kind to me. Getting back on the diet much stricter now. Want to get back to weighing 255-257ish out of bed.

Re: fat man challenge
Ran the Spartan Super Race yesterday. 8.5 miles of just pure suckage. 20+ obstacles. Took me and my wife 4 hours and 25 minutes to finish. We weren't rushing as my wife said this was for a completion grade. I would be happy to not see mud again until next summer.
I have no idea what I weighed, but that thing sucked so bad I didn't lift today. Maybe the first day in 2 years I skipped my workout for the day.

Re: fat man challenge
260.0 last Saturday after my run. Weighed 277 the Sunday night after the Spartan. Have really been trying to get back in the 250s. It's been a struggle though. 263 this am after my run. Lifts have been crap too. Don't know what's up.

Take a day off HB. Your body will thank you for it.

Re: fat man challenge
I also hit 263 post-run last Thursday or Friday. I think I would be about the same now, but my weekend was so gluttonous I haven't had the courage to weigh-in since!

Re: fat man challenge
BTW, 263 puts me down around 40 pounds since December but most importantly down 72 since December of 2014.

Re: fat man challenge
Of course, the morning after I wrote that I weighed 264 out of bed and had a great day in the weight room. Go figure.

Re: fat man challenge
262 post workout and round of golf today. I will admit that's probably largely because I didn't drink enough water during round of golf...but I'm still claiming it!

Re: fat man challenge
259 after my run. 263 out of bed. That's down from 277 on the 12th. It's amazing what you can do when motivated.
Granted my 259 was dehydrated post run weight and my 277 was after eating disgusting amounts of pizza, but I think it's pretty impressive.

Re: fat man challenge
I guess I never updated: I did hit 260 for a post-workout weigh-in on Tuesday of this week, but admittedly my eating habits haven't been the best since then so I haven't even stepped on the scale since. Still very pleased with my progress.

Re: fat man challenge
Still hanging out in the 260"ish" range for the most part. After my last post, I got into a little more of a summer mode, which for me means more barbecue's, ice cream, and most importantly beer! Haven't made the progress I thought I would this month. I set a goal for 245 by August 15th but just haven't been disciplined enough to make the progress. Still very satisfied overall as I was 335 back in December of 2014, but I need to get going again. That satisfaction is a big part of why I haven't made the progress I was hoping for.

265 out of bed this morning again. Judging by historical trends, should be lower than 264 Saturday.

Re: fat man challenge
I'm at 270 now. Honestly, I've been so bad with my diet the last month and a half or so that up 10 pounds isn't bad. I've been much better the last week so hopefully I stick with it.

Re: fat man challenge
After getting double pneumonia this spring I fell to the 180's, without much work. But this bluegrass festival season has taken its toll, and I topped out at 211 last week. So, back at it.
I met a couple from Sweden on the festival circuit and they had lost 40 pounds (each) while here for 5 months. They recommended the Low Carb, High Fat diet, which is alot like Atkins and other low carb diets. The difference is, they started their day with a high fat coffee concoction that basically fills you up for the first part of the day.
It sounds gross, but it actually tastes pretty good. And it works. I have 34 ounces of it in the morning, and rarely feel hungry until about 4pm. It's regular coffee, with some Heavy Whipping Cream, Coconut Oil, and two pats of real Irish butter. Mixed in a blender (with sweetener for me), it comes out like a fancy, schmancy Starbucks latte or something....
So, anyway, last Friday I was 211. This Friday I hit 204, 7 pounds in 7 days. I wanna do another 5 pounds this week, then 4, 3, 2.... shooting for 190 by the end of the month.
Also ran a couple times (poorly), maybe 2 miles each time. Lotsa stopping. I'm old.

Re: fat man challenge
My wife has determined that we are going to attempt the Spartan Trifecta next. The Beast- 11.5 miles in May, Super- 8.5 in June and Sprint- 3.5 in July. I told her that at 41 this is probably my only kick at this can.
Hope to be about 260 when we run it.
