Seneca - Promoted OL Coach Terry Maxwell to HC

Tri County - Hired Mark Ambrose

South Beloit - Hired Former Harlem HC Jim Morrow

Happy to hear Maxwell got the job at Seneca.

Wow. That's a great hire for the SoBos. Morrow had a terrific run at Harlem. South Beloit is always loaded with athletes but just can't seem to field a winning team. I like Morrow's chances there.

Didn't they have the Listenbee brothers who transferred in from one of the Beloit, WI public schools?

Not sure I understand the point of announcing retirement a year early. Mac has already announced their HC, does Provi have an HC in waiting?

Gotta give them potential Recruits the heads up incase they dont like the current coach.

They haven't had a winning season since that state title year and there has probably been 7-8 head coaches since 2002.

That 2002 team is easily one of the most talented 1a teams in IHSA history. They were loaded. Usually on a good 1a football team, you have 1 or 2 obvious standout players and everyone else is average. That South Beloit team didn't have a hole anywhere on the field. They were loaded. There wasn't one kid you saw on film and thought, "that's the weak link we can exploit". They had 4-5 kids who were All-State caliber talents (the Listenbee brothers, included) and the supporting cast that made up the rest of the team would have been starters on every team South Beloit played that year.

Hal Chiodo coming out of retirement to take over at Ridgeview/Lexington. He served as Lexington's head coach during his career

I think he was coaching at Morton when SHG went up there in the 2005 playoffs.

he was. they played pontiac in the 1st round. then we kicked their tails. i have a story to tell you the next time i see you.

El Paso Gridley open. Been told Coach Drone headed back to Mt. Carmel where he played. Kind of late in the game now can see assistant Brian Hassett taking over.

When does summer camp start for you guys? Seems like school starts in about 6 weeks or so right?

Gonna need to fill those HC jobs soon!
