Re: Minneapolis Officer arrested.
The statues targeted included a bust of Ulysses Grant, who was the U.S. president after he was the general who finally beat the Confederates and ended the Civil War.
Protesters said Grant owned slaves. He married into a slave-owning family, but had no problem fighting to end slavery. Grant also supported the 1868 Republican platform when he won the presidency which called for allowing Black men to continue voting in the South.
The other night there was a heated discussion between an older white guy and an older black guy I work with about statues. It actually got pretty heated. At one point the black guy said they should tear them all down as they're all racist and a reminder to keep blacks in their place. I asked about the Robert Shaw memorial. Neither knew who it was.
I said that was the problem.

Re: Minneapolis Officer arrested.
My point was that media outlets are nearly always the ones that expose other media outlets when they are irresponsible.
Above, you used the work done by the Federalist to point out the false claim made by NPR so that you could wag your finger at all of media.
But you knew my point.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the War for Independence in Philadelphia was vandalized, the statue of a Spainish poet who was a Muslim galley slave for 5 years was torn down in San Francisco. They tried to tear down the statue of Andrew Jackson (founder of the Democratic Party), in Lafayette Park yesterday.
Now they want to change the names of cities - Columbus, Ohio, St. Louis (because he led a Crusade to open the Holy Land to Christians).

According to The Federalist, "NPR was created by Congress in the 1960s, and receives public funding for its news articles and reporting".
Actually, while NPR does not receive any direct federal funding, it does receive a small number of competitive grants from CPB Corporation for Public Broadcasting The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is an American non-profit corporation created in 1967 by an act of the United States Congress and funded by the federal government to promote and help support public broadcasting. The corporation's mission is to ensure universal access to non-com... en.wikipedia.org and federal agencies like the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce. This funding amounts to approximately 2% of NPR's overall revenues.
NPR is funded in large part by the fees that the member stations pay it for the right to play NPR programs (like Morning Edition, All Things Considered, etc.) and by corporate sponsorships. NPR actually does not receive any government funding for its operations costs.
As for it being "entirely partisan", I disagree. They screwed-up the reporting in the case you cite, no doubt. Here is a breakdown by "Allsides" as to the political leanings of all the most popular news outlets:
https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/media-bias-ratings
NPR's news reporting is considered right down the middle. The opinion pieces on NPR lean to the left.

Re: Minneapolis Officer arrested.
Have you ever listened to NPR?
I must catch the wrong parts of it, because I've never heard anything close to middle of the road.
PS- their online arm is middle of the road. It doesn't say anything about radio.

You hear "Morning Edition" or "All Things Considered"?
I think Trumpsters like yourself think that any news that isn't glowing about the president assume it to be biased. There can't possibly be that much wrong with any one human being, you mistakenly think.

1. I'm certainly not a "Trumper"- whatever that means.
2. I've heard NPR for several years. Even before Donald had a TV show. I've never heard anything remotely close to center.
3. I don't remember what show it was. It's usually around 10am- 4pm anytime I'm toward Chicago. I don't think they have a station around here.

NPR listeners tend to be Democrats and Independents. Pew survey breaks it down as 43% Democrat, 37% Independent and 17% Republican.

It has now been revealed that the "noose" in Bubba Wallace's garage was just an old rope that had been in the garage since last fall. Maybe it's time for folks just to calm the fvck down.

So a crew member for Richard Petty Motorsports found the “noose”, contacted pussy-Nascar and they called the FBI.
What generation are you talking about? What generation were those parties that did the reporting? Who did something wrong in that chain of reporting?
