You make it sound like you think the divisions are between republicans and democrats when you mention the Clinton administration, I disagree with that. That is "incredibly simplistic and ignorant" to quote a friend of mine who is something of a social warrior on a football board I follow.

I know most of you will laugh at this idea, but I think most of the divisions can be traced back to the advent of right wing talk radio, specifically Rush Limbaugh. I know he isn't all that popular now and he is near death with brain cancer so this will all sound insensitive but, he taught two generations of listeners that liberals were the devil and that any people on his side of the aisle that spoke with them or , God forbid, negotiated with them was an enemy of his. He was so financially successful that he spawned a raft of copy cats that tried to outdo even him with their vitriol for liberals. pretty soon local radio hosts were practicing that shtick. You can't turn on an AM radio at any time of the day or night without getting your head kicked in by a right wing social warrior. The art of compromise is lost. Now the only way to win is to destroy the opposition.

Some, maybe a lot, of those same "tactics" are now practiced by politicians on both sides of the aisle.

I think the divisions between the parties have been simmering for far longer than before the Clinton administration. The impeachment of him is what has led to the complete scorched earth policies of the past 20 years of which the past 8ish have been extremely brutal.

And no, talk radio hasn't helped, but I think social media has been far more damaging.

If she could have started an investigation to save her hide in the 2016 election, don't you think she would have told someone such an investigation existed so that people would look the other way from her emails? That didn't happen.

1. Hillary invents Russian collusion.
2. Her campaign pays a British spy to gather "intel" from Russians.
3. They turn this over to the government and they begin investigating.

So Steele finished writing the dossier in December of 2016. The election that you say hillary was trying to influence was in November of 2016. It was first published on January 10, 2017. The timing is all wrong.

If the motivation was to distract from her email problem then we would have been blasted with this FBI investigation three weeks before the November election. The first FISA warrant was approved by a judge ten days before the election and six people knew about it on election day.

Of course Obama was briefed about it. It involved the president-elect.

You also act like Hillary was a complete outsider to Washington. She had, and still has, massive juice. Her husband's a former president. He appointed or hired many of the intelligence community. She's a former Sec of State who dealt with the community daily. She knows people.

Flynn lied to the FBI twice. He was an idiot. He knew the FBI was on those calls because they listen to all of the Russian's phone calls. He still chose to lie about what he discussed. Then he lied to Pence and the Russians knew he lied to Pence. He was compromised.

Yes, she did. Did you not read the articles? Obama was briefed about her plan in June or July and still decided to spy on the Trump campaign AFTER the dossier that she paid for "turned up" the evidence they went fishing for.

So this “bombshell” is Russian intelligence the we somehow got our hands on and believe over our own intelligence agencies.

This sums it up....
