Question for offensive coaches...
Is there a new rule that mandates the OC has to have a laminated play sheet on a lanyard? WTF? Is the playsheet easily lost or misplaced like keys? What is the purpose of the lanyard? Does it make clapping easier or something?

They saw someone do it and they thought it looked cool, so, like sheep, they did it.
Giant play sheets usually accompanied by either or white pullover, visor, too tight a shirt, Ray Bans and strangely colored pants.

Re: Question for offensive coaches...
Even though it sounds like delta isn't really asking for an answer to the question, and even though HI insults a whole bunch of people for no reason in his post again, the reason I have my playsheet (8 1/2 x 11, not giant) on a lanyard is that since it is on card stock for sturdiness, and laminated to keep it waterproof, it won't fit in any of my pockets. Since most coaches are usually at some point going to need both hands for something during the game, you can't hold it the entire time. You could set it on the ground, but it gets stepped on, muddy, etc. Last year, I tucked it in the back of my pants. That was awkward because of the stiffness of it, and I would pull my shirt untucked all the time. So this year, I got a lanyard to put it on so I would not have to worry about what to do with it. Also, I do not have a white pullover, visor, Ray Bans, or strangely colored pants. Guilty of the too tight shirt (belly area, not chest or arms), but I am working on it. I am sorry that I had an actual reason and am not a sheep. Also, I saw myself on film from last night, and I most assuredly do not look cool.

Dude, it's a joke based on some long running jokes here. Calm down.
Legitimate question for you- If you designed the offense, what do you need a play calling sheet for?

Sheet has the plays numbered 00-99 and helps us to signal in plays for our no huddle, that's all. I can't memorize that.

Both a visor and a play sheet attached to a lanyard would indeed be peak douchebaggery. Just having one of those two puts you on the douchebag watchlist. But if you have both, you undoubtedly get an automatic invite to the Douchebag HOF. 😆
