Re: 2016-17 Head Football Coaching Openings
I was looking at BigHitter's turnover thread briefly at IHSS and it is almost a certainty we will set a record for the number of turnovers from what I could see.
It looked like there were 76 turnovers last off-season, which was tied for the most - I'm not sure if we had a couple of more last second or not.
However, having 74 vacancies before April seems remarkable.

I had 83 New Coaches last fall that included the Situations at both Rockford Jefferson and Richmond Burton. It was a new high from anything I saw in the previous 10 years and didnt see it getting smashed again a year later but it sure is looking like it might.

We should have an announcement in the very near future from Champaign Central. Honestly, I expected it yesterday.
Not sure if I am reading it right, but by my quick count Champaign Centennial has listed four assistant coaching positions for football.
Assistants are tough to come by in this area....

It was not supposed to be this long of a tease. I'm starting to wonder if there is a hold up on the hire.

Re: 2016-17 Head Football Coaching Openings
Sullivan has been posted internally. I don't know when they plan on posting externally, if they do. There doesn't seem to be a clear cut plan on what they're going to do. Right now I think they're really hoping I get a local job and continue to coach. I don't see that happening.
Clinton apparently started interviews last week. I was not one. Once again, another of my former assistants was. If he gets it, that will be the second consecutive year a former assistant of mine will have gotten it. It's really, really confusing to me personally, but hey, it's their deal.
Personally- By the time Friday is up I will have interviewed at 6 different places. Already know one is a no, but hopefully at least one of them sticks.

Good luck, Coach. 6 interviews is damned good. One of those has to stick.

So happy for Tim. Loyal, hardworking, dedicated person who just does things the right way. Great choice for CMF. He is truly one of the good guys out there who has earned his shot.

If not, I'm sure it won't be because of my sparkling and outgoing personality and mystifying conversational abilities...

If what I'm hearing has any credence, there will be another opening in the LOVC-SE very soon...

Oblong/Pal-Hut co-oped and hired Mark Ambrose, and Tri-County has been open since Casey Pinnell took Robinson job but they should make a hire soon. That leaves Martinsville, Villa-Grove, and Cumberland. I have heard that Martinsville may be under new leadership to begin next season, but that's nothing new at Martinsville. Stokowski leaving VG or Watkins leaving Cumberland after such short (but successful) stints would be shocking, but not impossible with all of the openings still left in Illinois, especially in Central Illinois.

More teasing reports say there is a Coaching Change to possibly be known today in the Greater Kankakee and surrounding areas. Sounds like they are going to just promote from within immediately. Stay tuned.
