Looking at the IHSA site for Villa Grove the ideal candidate would have the following duties:

Oh wait! You could track instead of football - the former HFC is also the Head Track Coach. Assuming he is leaving the district...

No news on this one today?

Can't think of any teams in the area that would be switching this late in the game. Bmac?

Doesnt look like it is going to happen now. From what I was told this Head Coach has been looking to step back a little and would stay on as the DC. Problem is he doesnt want to mess up his retirement by the money he would give up by stepping down as HC. They are working on putting in a weight room supervision stipend but its probably too late in the game this year to get it into the contract but sounds like something that will get done before next school year.

Wasnt BMac I dont see Rich going anywhere anytime soon.

Sounds like Coach Bielema (Corey, not Bret) will be taking an elementary principal position in their district and give up HC. I believe that they have an assistant ready to promote right away.

Bielema actually spent a year or two as HS Principal and HC before going back to classroom in early 2010's.

I think numbers were heading in the right direction for this year and some talent again coming through. It wont be an awful job to walk into. I think Coach B did a good job keeping them competitive the last few years even though the W's might not of been there.

+1

They're still waiting to do 2nd interviews.  First round was April 3.  Supposed to be March 23rd, but due to a death in the school, was pushed back until after break.

I don't know when the white smoke will rise from the building on Route 54 to signify the next interim HC at Clinton.

In other news I am just shocked that Pontiac has not filled their position yet. The School and everyone knew after the last game he was done. Official news of stepping down was in Early January.

They may be waiting on teacher positions, but I agree - I thought they would have filled it by now.

No. I didn't graduate from there, nor apply for it. So there was no need to interview or hire them over me.
