Chris Ridgeway named the new coach today.

lol. no disrespect. and a +1 for you.
At this point I'm anxiously awaiting the glowing press release about the hire where it recounts how he was an assistant on 4 playoff teams at CG with the 2012 team making the 2A second round (something Clinton has never done- win a playoff game) and the 13 team making the 2A quarterfinals. Kind of like last year's hire was referenced as a former assistant at St T to Tim Brilley and CGB to Andy Kerley.

Disclaimer- I have nothing against Coach Ridgeway. Love the guy. Spent 6 years with him. One of the funniest guys I know. I'm glad he got the job and is finally getting an opportunity to run a program. I just have no idea how on God's green earth you can continue to hire from the tree while not even giving the trunk an interview. It stupefies me.

Hasnít he been a superintendent for the past 6 years? Seems like an interesting career path.

Haven't they had some turnover the past few seasons? Maybe it's for stability of the program.

Sorry. Didn't remember seeing it. †Track meets 10 days out of the last 17 days has made my mind more feeble than it already was.

EDIT- 11 out of 17 days.

A quick search of their salary report shows he was making 85k as superintendent and principal.

Pontiac has been filled, but I wouldn't expect an announcement anytime soon. I don't think their school board meets again for a couple weeks.

Sources tell me Pontiac is going to promote their OC to Head Coach. I have no idea who that is though.
