Basketball regional question

My question is this- How did the IHSA split up basketball when it went from 2 to 4 classes?  The logical way I would think is to split A into 1A and 2A and AA into 3A and 4A.  However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.  

I ask because Clinton went from being a perennial A school to 3A in basketball. At 660ish kids they once played in the Deland Weldon regional to playing Decatur Eisenhower next …

At 6:30 am, on January 26, I slipped on ice and fell at my apartment complex, resulting in fractures in my tibia and fibula and dislocation of the ankle. The sidewalk was dry but the blacktop parking lot was a sheet of ice - it was 32 degrees overnight. I know for certain that ice melt works well below 0 degrees - and there was none applied. (There are hundreds of units in the complex.)

had a great day yesterday.

met sammy hagar for lunch and went to ic to watch grinnell play our alma mater. it was coach worrel's last game for ic as he's 'retiring'.

grinnell plays a unique style of basketball, the old loyola marymount style. 5 on/ 5 off, fast paced, trapping all over the court, shooting 30 some 3's a game, etc.

ic won 120-117. got to see a grinnell player break the all-time …

Not sure if you have anything to do with posting on Twitter through the school but Sterling, Dixon and pretty much every high school in the country is tweeting out that they have athletes signing tomorrow and I haven't seen anything out of Newman.

Athlete 1(her son), Athlete 2 & Athlete 3 will all be signing tomorrow to play in college.
