Private/Public Debate

Thank God the regular season has started with its ban of private/public posts here at Turk's. Wouldn't want those detracting from the lively and thought provoking discussion about what is happening on the field.

Yeah because we shouldn't talk about the way SHG went up and kicked the crap out of Normal Community.........Oh Wait, the PUBLIC school kicked the crap out of the Private School.

Well according to some Normal Community fans this is their best team in a decade and they are 7A. This SHG team is young and inexperienced. They will get better as the season progresses but figure to lose 1-2 more games. I expected them to get beat up at Normal. Rochester has a great group of Seniors and figure to roll through the CS8 this year.

Those Rockets sure made Peoria look silly week 1.

In small-school football, there are a couple private schools that would like to have a shot at ending Lena-Winslow's recent dominance. Althoff Catholic, Newman Central Catholic, and Aurora Christian are all ranked in the Top 10 for 1a.

I would have had no idea that Althoff is now small enough to be 1A.
