Re: fat man challenge
323 this morning. Never went to any bar.
Wrote down three-meal-a-day plans for the next three days, capping at 1800 calories per day. Had to go with what I already had in my pantry, especially after stocking up on cheap stuff. Right now the wallet is killing me, so I can't buy different things for the time being. Hopefully this advanced planning will help me sustain a calorie max for a while. After that, I look to substitute some things and incorporate fruits and veggies in there.
I have today off of work + no pumpkin chuckin games to cover, so that gives me some time to move around more. My primary goal today is to get back to the gym, as I hadn't been there for a week. That alone is likely the reason for this recent stall. Once there I plan on 20 minutes of tread.
***
A couple of things I forgot to add to yesterday's post -
It used to be, before this challenge, that I would feel like molasses every other day. I don't have that feeling as often. In other words, I'm becoming less lazy since moving into my own house because I am finding myself needing to do more things (grocery shopping, cleaning, errands, etc.).
Since starting on this journey, I feel that I've really lowered my daily caloric intake (which is a small start) and have emphasized smaller things such as parking far away from the front door of the Wal-Mart - and walking the 200 feet to the Dollar Tree afterwhich. I would like to make the gym trips more repeatitive, as I think that was the factor in this recent stall.

Re: fat man challenge
I don't know if this really fits into this topic, but bear with me here ...
I believe that making strides in overall wellness also helps the diet work well. For me, the biggest struggle in my overall wellness has been the ability to communicate. When I cut off my usual routine of covering games for a month, little did I know that this - constant traveling to sports events throughout northern Illinois - was really my only link with the outside world. I took in a RF b-ball game earlier this month, saw a few friends of mine and striked up conversations (including one with a fellow BNC head coach). However, outside that and a SHS freshman girls game, I haven't been able to make it anywhere else. I'm hoping I have enough in me to see the SHS varsity girls play tonight.
I am anxiously looking forward to my planned sportswriting comeback of 1/5 at the all-day RF Shootout event, simply because of this situation.

188.8, 13.8% BF after a run.
Seriously, Cody, I would get on a tracking system. It's almost as effective as having a bunch of middle-aged football guys ragging your ass in a public forum.
I recommend Hackers Diet (natch) and FatSecret.com for food diary.

321 this morning after a more-than-usual pavement pounding routine. Just felt like I wanted to keep going.

That's great, 35! As I mentioned before, don't worry about what others are posting or how you may think they look at you when you run or walk, the key is to be competitive with yourself in improving stamina and distance.

Well, I'm back in IL, but forgot my scale...
No matter... did a mile in the pool this morning, plan to ellip and swim every day I'm back.
Good job, Cody... Keep it up!

Re: fat man challenge
I weighed in at 265 even this morning. Not where I want to be as it's actually fifteen pounds above where I was in August, but it's also 70 down from my high and down 45 on the 2012 calendar year, so I should complain too much.
The last two weeks hurt me bad as my brother has been home and he's actually in weight-gain mode as he's too thin ans some of his habits rubbed off on me! Getting back after it starting today.

I'm assuming we'll eventually have a new thread, but just for the record I'm starting 2013 at the same 265 I posted a few days ago.

Re: fat man challenge
195 after the New Year
194 the next day
190.8 last night, after a 6 mile dash on the ellip...
Goal is to be 185 by the time we go to Mexico (Jan 18th). Prolly come back at 190+, then hit it hard again in time for the NOLA Tour in March. Shooting to be 175-180 by the time I take my final physical before retirement.
Living here is quite the adjustment to my usual schedule. I've always worked out and showered in the a.m., then gone to work. Now I"m on a PM shower schedule (since I work in my pajamas and it's much harder to get motivated to run or ellip in the afternoon. Much easier to do when half-asleep in the morning.

318 at the moment. Slow but still downward. I'm content, although some more free time may be in the cards this week to push that down some more.

Re: fat man challenge
Now that I'm back in a routine of exercise and diet, I will hold off on posting my weight until the 15th and 30th of each month. However, there was a Nike "challenge" floating around on Facebook about running 2013 miles in the year 2013. Now, I'm not in that good of shape yet, so for me it will be a combination of walking/jogging that many miles but it's been a good motivator so far. And, the miles I do on an eliptical won't be counted towards the goal. I'm off to a pretty good start this year with both diet and exercise.

A couple weeks in and down a couple to 263. Down two on this calendar year and down exactly 70 from my alltime high.
