Breaking my silence to let you guys know an already good summer got better this week. First, my weight is down to 263, which puts me down 70 overall, 57 since November, and I believe 46 since New Year's for the countdown.
Secondly, I'm back in the game as I accepted a coaching position at Keokuk High School for this fall. It's the school that produced Iowa QB James Vandenberg and won a state title as recently as 2007. Definitely glad to be back in coaching and thanks for the support from members of this board as the last few years have been pretty tough professionally for me!

Wow Wolve, you're really killing it with your weight loss regimen. Keep up the good work and congratulations on the coaching gig. I'm real happy for you.

176.2 after a day of working outside....
... I might say that's "dehydrated" weight, but I drank a couple quarts of Crystal Light and 34 ounces of coffee today.

That is a contradiction.
It appears to the Russian judge that 175.8 cant be a record if you were already 175.
I'm DQing you.

Thanks, net! One week attending contact days at Keokuk and loving it so far! Feels weird that I'm now a spread guy and an Iowan in terms of high school coaching

Ah, record low on the way back down.... I've been at every weight between 8 lbs 8 ounces and 220 pounds some time since 1959.

Re: fat man challenge
Starting July at 256. I have changed the goal to be 245 by our first day of football practice, which in Iowa is August 6th. My original goal was 250 by Illinois College Homecoming in October, so I have done much better than I anticipated. Don't want to set goals beyond the one I just mentioned as I will be coaching, subbing for two schools, and finishing a Master's Degree course in August and September so not sure how much working out I'll get in those months!

Re: fat man challenge
As anticipated, my weight loss has slowed down a bit. I was probably due for this as fast I as was dropping weight the first part of this year. Still managed to take off 3 in July to get to 253, which puts me down 80 from my high and I believe 56 on the challenge.

Re: fat man challenge
Just returned from 18 days in the UK... fish & chips, currie and many pints have ruined my BWFMC physique.... will weigh in once I get a few workouts under my belt....

Re: fat man challenge
OK, was 180 the day before I left for UK, was 188 the day I got back. Hit it hard this week, and after my 7 mile run this morning was back down to 182.4
I'll dig in again this week, then its off to TN for a couple weeks in September. I came back from Europe and found that my boss had been "relieved" of his duties and I have a new manager. The new guy has no clue about my previous arrangement to work from TN one week a month, so I told him the deal was actually 2 weeks a month. He said 'fine.'

An even 250 on my last couple weigh-ins. Glad I made to this mark now, because with what I have planned for this weekend, I may be 260 by Tuesday morning

Re: fat man challenge
238.2 today, day 61 of juice fast. Hired a personal trainer 2 weeks ago,I go tues & thurs for 30 min. She works my azz pretty good. Mostly working on core strength, also some light lifting. Had a full metabolic blood test 3 weeks ago,all my numbers were improved, with my cholesterol dropping in half. Dr. wants to see me in 30 days,do a full blood work up to make sure everything is still good. I go next Friday. I'm hoping to be in the lower 220's.

Re: fat man challenge
Now that sub teaching has picked up, I haven't had as much time to workout. I've gained a few back, but have still been consistently weighing in at 255-57. A 5-7 pound weight gain this late in the season is actually very good for me. When I coached in the past, putting on 25-30 pounds during the season was pretty common.

Re: fat man challenge
I'm pretty much splitting time between TN and IL... 2 weeks here, 2 weeks there. It's playing havoc on my workout routines.
In Illinois I'm trying to swim 2-3 times a week, usually at 4:30am in Washington. I've upped my elliptical to 6 miles from 4, making the final push to get to 170 lbs...
In TN I have to run or walk. The trail run is 5.5 miles, but today it's pissing down rain.. no way I can fight the loose slop and creeks. Also, the drinking temptation in TN is much higher....

Can I start two months early? Or do I have to wait until 1/1?
