I was down in the St. Louis area watching my daughter coach at Lindenwood. I finally hit Sugarfire Smokehouse in St. Charles....WOW. Unbelievable. I have Pappy's #1...but this is #1A. Split the meat platter with my wife. It had brisket, ribs, sausage, pulled pork and turkey. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for the best barbecue in the St. Louis-region, I suggest you stay on the east side of the river and visit The Beast in Belleville.
Building looks like an old diner, which it it and is located on the extreme south end of town, just off Route 15.
They're also opening a location in the StL-side, not sure when and where.
Best BBQ, I've ever had. I would suggest the turkey and the DuRoc pork with a sides of fries and pit beans. But you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
However, like most of the craft BBQ places, get there early as the top items are often gone by 6-6:30 and once all the meat procured for the day is gone.
It is closing time.
I've gotten there at 7:30 p.m., and they were already sweeping the floors.
