I was on the Eastside of Springfield today and it was $5.08 at the Shell at Stevenson and Dirksen. First time I have seen gas $5.00 or more a gallon

Was $3.99 when I left Nashville on Friday, $5.09 in Kankakee today

$5.09 in Salem the last few days. Glad I've got a scooter to get back and forth to school.

This guy is right many/all in DC want to be in charge but nobody wants to lead. Many of these elected officials have never lead anything.

Up another dime today, now $5.29 at the Shell on W Washington. I heard Biden might be visiting Saudi Arabia. The US has been bad mouthing them recently now we want their help.

Another day, another dime increase. $5.39 today at Shell on W Washington.

I'm a proponent of 1-32, but I grudgingly accept that this move makes sense. If it makes sense for classes 1A-6A, why doesn't it makes sense for 7A and 8A? Either it makes sense for all or it doesn't make sense for just some.

This past year in 7A, which was seeded 1-32, the following are a few of the long trip first round matchups:

Geneva vs Collinsville
Libertyville vs Pekin
Blue Island Eisenhower vs Normal Community
Hampshire vs Moline

I get that most, but not all, of the 7A and 8A schools are concentrated in the far northeast quadrant of the state, and I further get that this fact makes some long trips inevitable. However, if moving to north-south 1-16 seeding will reduce some of those long trips in 7A and 8A, then why not do it? Why should the smaller and medium sized schools be the only ones to benefit from this common sense move?

Gas was $4.59 st the Shell on West Washington in Springfield yesterday. A little over a month ago it was $5.39 there.

$3.98 today at Meijer superstore in Springfield.

Was just there (bringing the dogs home from the Dog Park), $3.89, with discount $3.86. Hope you had a good summer. If I don't see you sooner, I will see you a month from tomorrow.
