Wilmington takes control of the conference with the win over RC. Reed-Custer falls to 5-1 and will have a battle against Coal City in week 8. Coal City gets their 5th win but have two tough weeks with Peotone and Reed-Custer the next two weeks. Peotone gets breaks a two game losing streak and has 4 wins and have Coal City next week followed by Herscher and Lisle, all three should be solid games. Lisle gets the win over Herscher and moves to 4-2. They have Wilmington next week followed by Manteno and Peotone. Looking like the Lisle/Peotone is going to be a huge game for seeding purposes. Herscher is on the outside looking in at 2-4 but wins over Manteno and Peotone, and an upset over Herscher, they would get in. I guess they have a shot at 4 wins but it will be tough. Streator gave a valiant effort against Peotone but fall to 3-3 with Reed-Custer, Wilmington, and Coal City the next 3 weeks. I do not see them winning any of those games.

Great game and great atmosphere in Wilmington tonight.

It was a quarterfinal or semi-final atmosphere. The entire fence line around the field was filled and was 3 or 4 deep in spots. Over 20 motorcycles for the run out and the tunnel went past the 50 and was 3 to 4 deep. Braidwood fans were fired up and made a lot of noise throughout the game. Both teams played hard and the sportsmanship on the field was great to see. Definitely one of the best atmospheres I've seen for a game in many years.
