Then when stopping in Tremont for a break ($4.49 at the BP off 155), I felt great about filling up in the Patch until I saw $4.01 in Chillicothe and $3.98 in Dixon.

Henry: $4.49
Princeton: $4.29
$4.05 at both the Thorntons and Quik and Easy on West Wabash in Springfield today

Just filled up at Thorntons on Wabash, $4.68, $4. 65 if you are a Rewards member.
I was on the Eastside of Springfield today and it was $5.08 at the Shell at Stevenson and Dirksen. First time I have seen gas $5.00 or more a gallon

Biden policies are wrecking America. 81 million voted for it.

This guy is right many/all in DC want to be in charge but nobody wants to lead. Many of these elected officials have never lead anything.

Up another dime today, now $5.29 at the Shell on W Washington. I heard Biden might be visiting Saudi Arabia. The US has been bad mouthing them recently now we want their help.

ihsa reverses decision on 1-32 seeding - fuel prices a factor

“When taking into account the current fuel prices, and the fact that this change will create more travel for schools and fans, myself and several other Board members were no longer comfortable implementing the change at this time. I do expect that when fuel prices return to a more manageable price level the Board will revisit this topic.”

Makes sense to me too. I think gas prices may be a little lower by Fall but not much.

I'm a proponent of 1-32, but I grudgingly accept that this move makes sense. If it makes sense for classes 1A-6A, why doesn't it makes sense for 7A and 8A? Either it makes sense for all or it doesn't make sense for just some.

This past year in 7A, which was seeded 1-32, the following are a few of the long trip first round matchups:

Geneva vs Collinsville
Libertyville vs Pekin
Blue Island Eisenhower vs Normal Community
Hampshire vs Moline

I get that most, but not all, of the 7A and 8A schools are concentrated in the far northeast quadrant of the state, and I further get that this fact makes some long trips inevitable. However, if moving to north-south 1-16 seeding will reduce some of those long trips in 7A and 8A, then why not do it? Why should the smaller and medium sized schools be the only ones to benefit from this common sense move?
