Summer Numbers
Plainfield North….
While we are not a smaller school that would predominately make up most of the talk on this board, I am originally a Morris guy, so I have been around here lurking since I was about 17. Guerin asked if this place was over, so I thought I would try to make some sort of post.
Varsity we have 72 on the summer attendance. About usual for us. Large amount of numbers definitely help two platoon but makes it hard to get kids many reps when we go to 7 on 7’s or team scrimmages. Sophomores have 55 and freshmen have 55 as well.
Anyone else have any numbers they’re willing to share?….

Hanging on by a thread in my neck of the woods. We are sitting at 32 kids in our entire program enrollment of 292. Far cry from my first year back in 2003 with around 80 kids and an enrollment of 430 at the time.

Id say so I currently have us as the 60th biggest 1A School right now. Gotta get to 5 wins though. Still a very young inexperienced roster with no depth. 3 Seniors on roster only 1 sees time on the field. Will be quite a few growing pains this year.

Our schedule does us no favors early…at Lockport and then home against York. But have also utilized live scrimmages against Romeoville, Plainfield Central and Joliet Catholic in addition to a ton of 7 on 7’s against perennial good competition. Hopefully all of that results in good things early on.

Re: Summer Numbers
Here in southeast Iowa, our school hired Marvin McNutt, a former Hawkeye receiver, to be our head coach back in the spring. Outside Iowa, I don't think many remember who he is, but it did create quite the buzz. Despite that, our numbers have actually been a bit down this summer. Not sure how many will show up August 12th.
We've had any where between 40 and 50 show up for summer workouts. The last three years we were up in the 60s. We're a school of right at 600 for enrollment.
