Certification Empty Certification

So, 3Pete was asked to coach the jv futball team last minute. He just graduated in 2018 but wants to do it. Does he have to take the certification, first aid etc? I see the three cost over $200 now but the coaching gig pays over $3300 now.

Sounds like a nice return on investment! Im a non teacher so I had to do the ASEP as well many moons ago.

THE Valley is reimbursing him and he starts practice next Mon...and doesn't have a vacation planned! Smile

Can't you still sign up as substitute teacher in the district (with a college degree) and then be ok to coach?

i believe if you get state certified to substitute teach, you are also then able to coach (without getting ASEP certified). your mileage may vary depending on the school district.
