I obviously don't know the ins and outs of the program, but as an outsider looking in, I would say Jerry Kill hit the nail on the head.

if you agree to do a 4-part documentary calling "being pj fleck", you might just be seeking the spotlight.

I just saw the football coach here got a mailing from Minnesota. It's a 8 1/2 x 11 or whatever post card on one side advertising the dates of their camps. On the other in about 3 inch high letters it has PJ FLECK with a picture of him jumping up and chest bumping a player with random stats about him, not Gopher football, splashed around the picture. A cursory glance never even mentioned Minnesota football or Gophers or anything, but you certainly could tell who the HC was.

I think Fleck is a total tool and I am glad someone came out and called it like it is.
