Hope Academy

2a team that has played some really big schools. Anyone know anything about them? Sounds like they have a QB who is a D1 player.

Don't know anything about them in terms of what they run or their talent level.

This is the school that had a shooting take place right outside its home field (a Chicago Park District field) during a game against Providence Catholic last year.  Shooting Their next two home games they won by forfeit against St. Francis and Bishop Mac, both of whom refused to play there.  They wound up winning their first round game last year against a CPL team and then were beaten by Newman in round 2.

This year, Hope Academy has beaten St. Ignatius (which will likely make the 6A playoffs). They also put up 42 in a losing effort against 5-2 Providence (at Providence) and were leading Providence 26-16 at halftime of that game. The most points scored by any other team this season against Providence was undefeated Brother Rice (likely a 1 or 2 seed in 8A this year) which scored 20.

preseason several edgy people picked hope to be a 2a dark horse IF they could make the playoffs. which if they haven't already, should guarantee it this week.


that is a monster schedule for a 2a team and minus the week 1 loss, is pretty scary

They good! The QB helped then score 80+ as a freshmen 2 years ago against State Champ Dee-Mack. They also have a receiver who may be D-1 also.
