Re: Week Five Scores
Every program I've ever coached in lost tonight. Clinton lost to Tuscola (although very closely), Mahomet lost to Mattoon, Shelbyville lost to Warrensburg, CGB lost to Arcola and Lincoln lost to Taylorville.
The only hope is Rantoul to beat St Thomas More tomorrow night, but I'm not holding my breath.

I know I speak for all of your former schools when I say we all blame you.

Re: Week Five Scores
Metamora came into the game undefeated. They had clobbered everyone they played and had only allowed four TD's in the four games they had played.
Dunlap was 3-1, had just been clobbered by Washington and their three wins came against teams that collectively had won two games this season.
What opinion did you have of Meta before the Dunlap game?

Both. Dunlap lost the majority of their lines from last year so even though they returned their D-I WR recruit (Big Ten schools already have offered him, and not the likes of Illinois and NW FWIW) they were not going to be near as good.
As for Metamora they are likely not as strong as they were during their run from 1994-2010 but they have a QB who can throw the ball (also a D-I basketball recruit, btw) so that gives them a puncher's chance any time they take the field. They host Washington in week 8 for what figures to be the MI championship game. I am sticking to my pick of Washington by three TD's in every conference game but I will mention that the last time the Panthers won in Metamora during the regular season was 1990.

Wasn't that PR's first year?

Let's just say the good old days are over. Two home games so far have resulted in $541 being the top prize. Still better than most but the days of constantly being over $1000 are over. Friday is homecoming so perhaps it could approach that again. Either way the BW attendance theory of 50/50 x 3 needs to be altered.
