Fair point... And what will the person that's making $13 an hour now be making in 2025? I just don't see how paying a teacher $40K is going to keep up with the COL when the minimum wage is $15..

Fast Food- $15

Teacher- $20 ($40K a year)

Where are the current clerical and warehouse jobs that currently pay $12-15 going to slot in there??? Are McDonalds and Amazon going to pay the same??? Or is Amazon and Pleasant Plains HS going to pay the same???

The state. The last two governors have basically said it word for word. JB hasn't yet, but at some point he's going to have to find a way to make the books at least come close to even. Having dozens, if not hundreds of schools with enrollments of less than 150-200 isn't helping the bottom line.
