Not at all, but we're repeatedly told this can't, or isn't happening so I thought I'd post this. In fact, I'm pretty sure someone on here told me that this wasn't a problem.

https://immigrationforum.org/article/fact-sheet-immigrants-and-public-benefits/

This smells like fake news to me. The last census was about six or seven years ago and they didn't ask about citizenship.

How did this information just become available this week?

In the article:

and, most importantly, 4) non-citizens (including illegal immigrants) can receive benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children who are awarded U.S. citizenship and full welfare eligibility at birth.

So those are US citizens receiving benefits....not illegals.

Don't really know what that has to do with illegals getting welfare, but...

From the forum information I linked above:

How much do immigrants contribute to support public benefits programs?

Both documented and undocumented immigrants pay more into public benefit programs than they take out. According to New American Economy, undocumented immigrants paid over $328.2 billion in state, local, and federal taxes in 2014 alone. However, undocumented immigrants are not eligible for any of the federal or state benefits that their tax dollars help fund.

Additionally, a few states have completed studies demonstrating that immigrants pay more in taxes than they receive in government services and benefits. A study in Arizona found that the state’s immigrants generate $2.4 billion in tax revenue per year, which more than offsets the $1.4 billion in their use of benefit programs. Another study in Florida estimated that, on a per capita basis, immigrants in the state pay nearly $1,500 more in taxes per capita than they receive in public benefits.

Did the Washington Examiner article take into account what undocumented immigrants pay into the tax systems?

How would one know? Especially if they're being paid 'off the books?' "Si, here is my Social Security Number so you can pretend to use E-Verify, but I prefer to be paid in cash..."

If they're undocumented, where's the documentation? If you're working a cash-only job under the table, where is the documentation that you made $xxxxxxx last year, or paid any taxes?

I'm pretty sure the IRS knows which SSNs are getting multiple inputs from individuals in varying parts of the country. If nine individuals are using one SSN, only one can be the real citizen.

If they're talking sales and other taxes, how do they know? I don't check 'legal citizen' on any form when I buy something.

Corporate welfare is a bigger issue than immigrant welfare. We just see the people in line paying with food stamps while they have a roll of 20s. We don't see the millions pocketed by the execs of companies given government handouts.

How about they're both bad and should both be immediately ended?

Here you go. These were all linked to the original document I posted above. By the way, I think if nine individuals are using the same SSN it's pretty likely that NONE of them are a real citizen. More likely that the citizen is deceased.
