Jerry Van Dyke

Post by niewi 24 on Tue Jan 09, 2018 11:44 pm

According to news outlets, Jerry Van Dyke passed away last Friday at the age of 86. To me, he was best known as Luther on the television show Coach. While Coach May have not won many awards, nor did it show much football at all, I always enjoyed the antics of Luther, Hayden, and Dauber. I remember sitting in the floor as a young kid and watching this with my dad and grandpa and listening to them  laugh hysterically. Those are some good memories.

Saw this as well. What is great is the show is on again at 10:00pm. It does get me to sleep a little later, because of course I have to watch an hour of Hogan's Heroes before it.

Watching Coach was one of the first times i thought about becoming a real life coach.
