IC 29 Peotone 16

I think most would agree that Peotone would probably give IC all they could handle and they definitely did. Had several sustained drives but couldn't get in the endzone. They definitely took their chances failed fake punt, converted 3 or 4th and shorts but went on one early in the 3rd that may have been the difference in the game. Great season for the Blue Devils! An up and coming program.

Peotone did a great a job with their plan.  I would have had a hard time punting to IC also.  They seem just about as likely to score from 70 as they are from 35 with their big play ability.
Whoever IC gets next week is gonna have a heck of time on the turf.

minookas coach, on 4th and 4, calls a tackle eligible lateral to their 6-3, 292lb OT who after almost dropping it rumbles into the endzone.

where does that guy shop for his pants?

You go to the game?

I watched NaperNorth beat a good Homewood Flossmore team who tried some stupid ass double hand-off then pass on their 4th and goal, last ditch effort.

The ball was in the hands of their "all everything" tailback until he handed to another guy to throw an interception.

As much as I admire the tackle eligible lateral to a big boy, had it failed, would you still wanna shop with the Minooka play caller?

Great job by Coach Reents, his staff, and the whole program this year. Wilmington graduated a TON of starters (well over a ton - literally) from last year's team and ho hum, back in the quarterfinals...

You can get audio of the Rochester game at sportsradio1450.com

Rochester just took the lead back on their first possession of the third quarter after Althoff scored 17 unanswered to take a brief lead

Rochester reasserted itself.

Now back ahead comfortably.
