Don't forget about Herscher.  Smile

If I recall correctly, didn't HHSTigerfan have some sort of connection to Morris schools?  Does/did his wife work or sub in one maybe?  Regardless, I recall some of his posts about Morris as seemingly having some inside information.

Yes, his wife (or ex if HS is right) was related to our AD somehow.

Dont know what part of Iowa you are in but I went over to Spirit Lake over Easter break. Holy smokes they have a beautiful facility for a 2A School

I'm in Keokuk, which is in the southeast corner, literally right where Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois all meet on the Mississippi River. I have heard their facilities are good and in fact several small schools in Iowa have wonderful facilities. Ours are pretty good too, but our football field is in need of some upgrades.

He turned that into a 16 page thread on a Disney message board. Yikes!

His Dave Ramsay one is a hoot IIRC. It's been a while since I read through it.

There was also a classic on there about him defending carting around his 8 year old son in a stroller around Disney.

For those of you that think I'm some sort of stalker I refer to Sun Tzu-

Most of that was looked up about 5-6 years ago when I spent a lot of time up with my son. You get bored.

I hope you never consider me an enemy.

That was kind of scary.

ramblinman wrote:A few weeks ago on Edgy's board, there was a thread asking for interesting match ups.  Thought I might pose the same question here.  I would add that these should be games you would like to see that either have rarely been played or have never been played.  Here are a bunch I've come up with, most of which are Chicago area centric, but I've included a few from other parts of the state:

Loyola vs New Trier
Nazareth vs Lyons Twp and Fenwick
Fenwick vs Oak Park-River Forest
Montini vs Glenbard West
IC vs York
Phillips vs ESL, Rochester and Montini
ESL vs Peoria
Carmel vs Libertyville
Marist vs Lincoln Way East
Barrington vs Hinsdale Central
Benet vs Providence
Bishop Mac vs Herscher
SHG vs Nazareth and Peoria
Althoff vs. PND
Edwardsville vs. Stevenson

No interest in an East Peoria-Peoria Manual game? They are old Mid-State 10/9 foes who are the basement dwellers in the central Illinois large conferences these days.  East Peoria has never won a playoff game and has never hosted one at their current home...which opened in 1997.  Manual used to be decent but has made the playoffs once since the '99 season.  Their last playoff win over anybody of stature (sorry Civic Memorial and Southeast) was back in 1993 when they beat Sterling before losing to Geneseo at Peoria Stadium in a game which featured a nice brawl late.

Before the public schools split, Woodstock vs. Marian Central would have been a traditionally solid rivalry.
