Yes. †And after being turned down twice for it- including last year- that ship has beyond sailed. †I donít honestly know why I applied last year after being previously told to pound sand. Maybe it was the alma mater draw that got me into it, maybe it was being closer to aging family, maybe it was the pay raise? †Either way, they pretty blatantly told me their opinion of me when they hired a guy that had spent the previous season as an assistant of mine. †Oh well. †Clinton is Clinton for a reason.

Besides, Iím enjoying life as a Redskin. †Find a way to win a few games and Iím good barring major administrative turnover or some community changing event.

Eisenhower school board voting tonight on whether to hire Curtis Graham. Graham previously coached at Normandy High in STL. I would expect the board to approve this hire.

I very much liked playing and wrestling for Coach Nagel. He was our wrestling coach my fr/so years and varsity football HC my sr year while having been the DC before that. As a HS kid I thought he was one of the greatest coaches ever. As an adult I realize he was sometimes lacking in Xs and Os knowledge, but could get kids to run through brick walls. He was a master motivator. Much better communicator and at making kids feel loved than i am. Left after going 31-26 with 3 playoff appearances out of 6 years (92 was actually his predecessor). For a school that hadn't qualified for the playoffs until 1993, that's a pretty incredible run. Also led the wrestling team to a #1 ranking and 3rd place finish in 1990 and set us up nicely for our run to 2nd my jr year and 4th my sr.

He's definitely one of the reasons I got into this job. Our run in 93 to 8-2 is one of, if not THE greatest fall of my life and he was a big, big part of that.

Oblong Pal/Hut has hired. New coach

Mark is a great guy and we are sad to lose him. I hope to fill his spot with someone of such good character.
