Went to college with Coach and wish him nothing but luck.  One of the rare art/head football coach combos we’ve talked about.

Isn't that what Albaugh is certified in?

Yeppers.

So far, I think the art/head football combo as far as I remember consists of Albaugh, Sondgeroth and Ric Johns.

I doubt that is where Albaugh surfaces. I think Coach Sondgeroth has been there 15+ years as HC/asst. I don’t think the resignation was teaching included.

Former Varna Midland HC Tom Siebert was also an Art Teacher. His son was standout QB on 2010 Dee Mack Squad.

Art teacher/Head Football Coach has nothing on Coach Hilgendorf at Watseka last year who was Library Aid and Head Football Coach before having a PE opening this year.

Idk that we've ever had any bigger idiots on here than those two. The Haks kids weren't even as stupid as those two.

Once was a finalist for that job- at least I was led to believe I was. Lost out to the Kirbster and he turned it down the day of the board meeting. Re-opened applications that night at the board meeting and I withdrew. If I’m not your guy then, I’m not going to be your guy the 2nd time around.

One of the smallest weight rooms I’ve ever seen for a school that size. Was also told it was virtually impossible to have summer lifting given the size and transportation distances in the school district. It is no surprise they struggle so mightily in football.

Good luck to who ever gets it. Odd fact of the day- My mom is an alum of the first Spartan graduating class.

Those are the only 2 people I was aware of that were art majors. Wasn't really my scene.
