I think he just felt it was time to step down. Didnt have the time to do things the right way the way he wanted to do them.

That's so strange. I assume he is retiring as an administrator this year and coaching only for Lanphier?

Tri Valley's Super did a couple years ago. Retired and is now the HC at Pittsfield.

Apparently, Coach Lett moved to the Rochester district while Super at Pana so his son could play for Derek.So, he has more Springfield ties than I realized.

I really think that we are going to see more and more "recycling" of coaches for head coaching jobs.  There are some pretty good jobs in this area that are not getting much outside interest and not from younger coaches. 

I think we will start seeing more retired guys coming back like this up here soon.

Of the three or four jobs I know of some info on, none have had more than 13-15 applicants for them.

There is a pretty good job in this area that has supposedly had only 5 external apps.  And like most cases not all of those apps have the certifications needed or fit the openings.

my bad. i'm a week ahead of schedule. boe meeting is 2/6.

Two more non-staff hires. It can work, but there is no question it is harder.

I know Coach Blackburn also has an Elementary Certificate. I don't know if he is going to teach at Clinton, but it is possible.

Rumor is Coal City has their man. I am waiting on confirmation but as expected looks like they stayed in house.

Westmont has promoted assistant Dan Woulfe.

Nick Lindsey hired at Arcola.

Only 50 openings overall in the state, which is a bit below average.

Seems like a down year in Iowa too, although obviously we have way fewer schools due to lack of population as well, at least compared to IL.

'lett' resigned today, so lanphier is open....................again.

i know they did second interviews for at least two candidates. i'm not sure what that means though. the other candidate was out of state. will he be accepting of the job? inquiring minds want to know.
